About
The Forum was founded by the ASCMC to provide affiliates of Claremont McKenna College a medium for exchange of ideas. Over the years, the paper became a source of reliable campus news.
Over the past few years, enthusiasm for The Forum waned. The Forum fell off beat as the publication printed articles with diminishing frequently. This year, The Forum is under new management and ambitious in its rebirth.
Part of The Forum’s focus is still traditional news stories, but also content achieved through Web 2.0 technologies like blogging and discussion. The website also features student tools, links, calendars, discussion, and other useful add-ons.
The Forum aims to become a staple of student life at CMC. Although the format of the publication has changed since its inception, the mission remains unchanged: to give the CMC community a medium for the exchange of ideas.
To help The Forum grow and improve, students are encouraged to apply to join the staff. The Forum is especially seeking students who are interested in helping with web development. Additionally, donations are accepted through the ASCMC, which is a non-profit, tax-deductible 501(c)(3) organization.
